And so, peeps, here's your Draw of the Day for the first day of 2015...what better way to get ourselves through the new gateway than the famous "three-card map" of past, present, future. What's your path for the New Year, beginning right now?
PAST: What do I need to let go of? (besides everything! ;)
Well, well, well--this is actually a random draw, so please believe me, I didn't choose this one--it chose me. And if you aren't sure about what it means, take a look at the image...The image of the boat belongs to birth as well as to Death; the baby's
cradle originally symbolized the boat. The trees and grass signify
plants, the bones minerals, the birds, the animal world, and the
ferryman, the human world. The peacock's eye in the center signifies
looking at the truth in regard to looking at Death. The bird also
signifies the soul and the divine potential of a person. So--what to let go of? Unrealistic expectations (Peacock looking at the real situation), despair at not having "completed" whatever-it-is (since you, in that boat, are a babe in the cradle just beginning this new journey), and most of all, your defeatist attitude, because there is the new growth, the precious jewels that may only be harvested with the effort of digging the ground, and, in the distance, the pale light of the new dawn. The past is the past. Yesterday is over. Let it die, leave it there--let's commence our new journey.
