Today's draw is not random. I am selecting a card and using it to create a message for all of us:
This day is Imbolc Eve, the Festival of Brighid, my primary Goddess. And she is featured in the Haindl Tarot as the Daughter of Cups:
The card shows the Lady Brighid smiling serenely over Stonehenge, arguably one of the most ancient relics of the Celts. She is drawing a pure golden light up from the earth, and her eyes bespeak peace and healing. Brighid's Well is a place of healing, and the Fires of Awen, fire in the Head, Heart, and Hands, bespeak the three realms of Her poetic inspiration. May She be with you this day, tomorrow, and every day of this year, until once again we celebrate Her Festival. Imbolc means "in the belly", May Her inspiration and her flame of creativity, of all kinds, burn in your belly, and may Her healing well bring you peace.
Every day and every night
That I say the Genealogy of Brighid
I shall not be killed,
I shall not be wounded,
I shall not be harried,
I shall not be put into a cell.
No fire, no sun, no moon, will burn me.
No water, no lake, no stream, will drown me.
For I am child of poetry,
Poetry, child of reflection.
Reflection, child of meditation.
Meditation, child of lore.
Lore, child of research.
Research, child of great knowledge.
Great knowledge, child of intelligence,
Intelligence, child of comprehension,
Comprehension, child of wisdom,
Wisdom, child of Brighid!
