It is, of course, Monday. It is the beginning of a new week of work and study and interaction with other people, Nature, and even our Selves. So--what is the one card that might serve as a Guardian and Guide to help us make the most of the opportunities the next 7 days will present?
Here we have Radha, daughter of Kali and wife to Krishna, smiling gently, playing her flute to dance and lead us down the primrose path, and deeply immersing herself in the beauty and joy of life. In the tales of Radha and Krishna, they are silly and playful with one another, even sometimes changing clothes to experience their relationship from the other being's perspective. Radha is not stupid, though...the three jewels over her head represent sensuality, motherhood, and wisdom. This is one of the happiest cards in the
deck. Her jewelry and cosmetics show the abundance of a highly
developed culture. The stories of her playful love with Krishna show
humor and humanity. She is gentle but not passive, calm but not weak.
She is devoted to her partner without losing her sense of self.
Not a bad way to approach our week--"sing, dance, play, make music and love, all in My name...." Enjoy each step of our journey, without losing sight of our own focus, perspective, or sense of Self. We can DO this. Have a wondrous week!
Walk in Beauty,
